Fab DIY Idea – Gin Bottles As Vases

Wedding season is now in full swing, which means we’ve got tons of fab and fun décor ideas running through our heads. We couldn’t resist sharing one of our favourite ideas with you today; using gin bottles as vases for your wedding day. This is a unique idea that is simple yet effective, and your wedding venue is bound to look wonderful.

Gin bottles may not be the first thing that come into your head when you think of vases, but there are so many ways of using them as part of your venue décor. You can also be super clever with your gin bottles, by matching them to your colour scheme. For instance, Gordon’s Gin will be perfect for a green wedding whereas Bombay Sapphire gin bottles will fit in fantastically with a blue theme. Gin bottles as vases work perfectly for table centrepieces to hold pretty flowers and candles, or you could simply dot them around your wedding venue or along your bar for a pop of colour.

Gin Bottles As Vases – Table Centrepieces

If you’ve opted for long banquet tables, I would recommend lining gin bottles along the middle of your tables – possibly every two places or so. They look fab standing tall on their own, but will also look great stood on a hessian table runner.

There are a number of different ways you can use gin bottles as vases for round wedding tables. They’ll look fab placed on wooden tree slices for a rustic, outdoorsy wedding. Alternatively, if you’re planning a vintage affair, why not place gin bottles on antique books and suitcases? You’re guaranteed to transport your guests to a bygone era!

Gin Bottles As Vases – Wedding Décor

You can also use gin bottles as vases for your wedding venue décor. A gin bottle full of beautiful blooms will look fab surrounded by tea lights – place in a small wooden crate for extra impact.

They would also look wonderful dotted around your wedding venue entrance – you could include a mixture of different brands to create interest. It’s easy to create a fabulous wedding day based around this theme. You could offer your guests mini gin bottles as wedding favours. I love the thought of using the different brands of gin as table names, or you could stick numbers in each bottle to indicate the seating plan. There are tons of ways to get creative!

Other Bottle Ideas

But you don’t just have to use gin bottles as vases; you could use perfume bottles or wine bottles – all empty, of course! Bottles are a great DIY idea and they always look fab filled with flowers or candles.

How To Style A Pink And Gold Wedding Table

Pink and gold wedding colour schemes are taking the wedding world by storm this year, and we can definitely see why. This divine colour combination is undeniably pretty and I love the subtle touches of glamour.

Today we’re showing you how to create this beautiful wedding table style! Fleur Couture put together this heavenly wedding table design and we just had to share it with you! This is perfect if you’re planning a glittering gold wedding day with pretty pink accents. Plus, it’s super simple to recreate…

How To Style A Pink And Gold Wedding Table

You can easily recreate this wedding table style at any wedding venue, whether you’ve got long trestle tables or round tables. This versatile pink and gold wedding décor can dress up even the simplest of wedding venues.

Source a pink table runner with a champagne gold edge – if you can’t find one fear not, simply layer a sequin gold table runner with a pale pink runner. You can either buy or hire table runners, the choice is yours! You’ll need table measurements to make sure the runner looks perfect (if you’ve got extended banquet tables, you will obviously need one that is a lot longer).

Pink and gold wedding table runners

At the end of each table, tie the table runners together with pretty pink blooms. I love the idea of tying them with some delicate pearl beads for an extra dash of luxury. Tying the table runners together helps them to hang beautifully off the table and creates maximum impact.

Glass plates and cutlery with gold trimming will be the perfect addition to your pink and gold wedding table. Opt for pale pink wedding stationery to use as place settings and menu choices – golden calligraphy writing will look ultra glam! When it comes to napkins and serviettes, there are tons of options. You could keep it simple and fresh with white, or opt for pretty pink shades. A single pink rose or peony will make each place setting look absolutely divine.

Time to talk about the table centrepieces! An assortment of metallic vases and candle holders will look super beautiful as table décor. Copper and antique gold work wonderfully together and will be a gorgeous feature of your tables. Tall candles and little tea lights will create a lovely, warm glow as the evening draws in and it’ll give a romantic ambience to your reception.

Gold vases brimming with pink blooms and lots of foliage act as elegant wedding table centrepieces. Make sure you use the same flowers throughout your tables and your wedding bouquet for a look that is completely coordinated. Gold wedding table numbers in a calligraphy font are the perfect finishing touch to your table. Your guests are guaranteed to be impressed, and it’ll help your wedding reception tie in together beautifully.

How To Create This Rustic Table Plan At Your Wedding

Designing the perfect look for your rustic wedding takes more than finding the perfect wedding venue. Whether you’ve opted for a country barn or an English garden-inspired venue, it’s the decor that creates your rustic theme. Today we’re talking about a rustic table plan that will seriously set the scene for your special day…

One of the things we love most about rustic weddings is the fact it’s such an effortless yet beautiful theme. It’s perfect for those couples who want an organic, country feel to their day. It’s the little details that count, which is why this rustic plan table is made for a rustic affair!

Fleur Couture created this gorgeous rustic table plan using items from The Wedding of My Dreams shop.

What You’ll Need For Your Rustic Table Plan

How To Create Your Rustic Table Plan

This rustic table plan looks fab if you’ve got a variety of different size wooden crates. Fleur Couture placed the crates on the sides and layered them on top of one another as if to create shelving for the plant buckets and other props.

Place a couple of milk churns on top of the crates and fill with blooms for the ‘wow’ factor. Choosing flowers that match your wedding bouquet will look beautifully coordinated. Wild, natural flowers look particularly wonderful with this set-up as it simply adds another rustic element.

Use props such as a ‘LOVE’ light up sign to add a touch of ambience to your table plan. You could make it really personal by adding frames full of your favourite photographs and placing them in the shelving part of the crate. The possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating the wooden crates!

Rest the wooden table plan from The Wedding of My Dreams against the crates and fill the mini silver buckets with more pretty posies. Once you’ve done this, all you need to do is the finishing touches. Tie the brown luggage tags to the silver buckets and write down the seating arrangements so it’s clear where your guests need to sit.

This is such a simple yet effect rustic table plan and it looks beautiful in any area of your venue. Set up in the corner of your reception room so guests can easily see where they’re seating. You could even place it on a table to make it more of a ‘focal point’ of your reception room. The mixture of the wooden crates and colourful flowers will really help to create that beautiful rustic feel to your wedding venue. Keep the style throughout your wedding day and use crates or milk churns filled with blooms as your table centrepieces.
