How To Create A Totally Tropical Wedding Theme

I must admit, a tropical wedding is probably one of my favourite themes out there. I love the bright, colourful shades and the sense of fun it brings. It’s perfect for a destination wedding, but is also a fab alternative if you want to bring the sunshine to your wedding day. Sit back, relax and read on to find out how to create this vibrant wedding theme. tropical wedding theme greenweddingshoes.com - laurenfairphotography.com Image Source - Photographer

Tropical Wedding Stationery

Let’s start things off with your wedding stationery. Colourful designs of hot pink and leafy green will set the scene. Think big, bold and beautiful – when it comes to this theme nothing is ever too elaborate, so you really can go all out with your theme. Why not include pink flamingo or pineapple motifs? They’ll look especially fab if you decide to use flamingo and pineapple details throughout your day. tropical wedding theme stylemepretty.com - paulaplayer.com Image Source - Photographer

Bride and Bridesmaids

You have a huge range of choice when it comes to picking bridesmaid dresses, and it’s best to pick out one colour to focus on. Either have all of your maids wearing bright shades, or all pastel. For your bridal outfit, consider wearing shoes that add a pop of colour to your look. Why not wear a tropical flower crown? Perfect for that bohemian beach feel. tropical wedding theme Ruffled - photo by Jessica Bordner Photography http://ruffledblog.com/florida-keys-destination-wedding Image Source - Photographer

Exotic Blooms

Your bouquet needs to bright and full of colour. Mix hot pink flowers and eye-catching blooms with palm leaves. Opt for tropical flowers to really fit in with your theme – your florist will be able to recommend some gorgeous flowers that are in season. I particularly love pink Orchids, Hibiscus or King Protea. tropical wedding theme Ruffled - photo by Angelica Chang Photography http://ruffledblog.com/hawaiian-garden-wedding-inspiration Image Source - Photographer While we’re on the subject of flowers, I adore the thought of creating a tropical archway for your ceremony. Imagine saying ‘I Do’ underneath a beautiful mixture of palm trees and exotic blooms! Not only is this completely romantic, it’ll be the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs. tropical wedding theme weddingchicks.com - natalieschutt.com Image Source - Photographer

Delicious Cocktails

You can really have some fun with your wedding food and drinks. Opt for Pina Colada and Mojito cocktails with flamingo straws, with watermelon and pineapple fruit as mini canapés. Let’s not forget your wedding cake either. We’re talking something tall, elaborate and totally fabulous! A white cake adorned with tropical sugar flowers will look sensational, but so will a cake with hot pink ombré icing. A fun pineapple or flamingo cake topper is the perfect finishing touch. tropical wedding theme 100layercake.com - ashleykelemen.com Image Source - Photographer tropical wedding theme modwedding.com - studiocake.com.au Image Source - Photographer

Tropical Table Decor

Make sure your tables look as bright and as colourful as possible. Pineapple-themed props on each table will look fab, especially with pink or aqua table runners. Extravagant and exotic flowers will make fab table centrepieces, and they’ll add a splash of colour. There are so many tropical-themed accessories and decorations around at the moment so you’ll be spoilt for choice. tropical wedding theme stylemepretty.com - josevilla.com Image Source - Photographer A tropical wedding theme is guaranteed to transport both you and your wedding guests to an exotic paradise: whether you’ve jetted off to the Caribbean to tie the knot, or if you’re in rainy England! This is a seriously fun theme where you can get completely creative.

Keep Warm At English Summer Weddings

Summer weddings are the most popular time of year to tie the knot. But it doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed glorious sunshine. English weather is always unpredictable so it’s important you prepare! Open Fire Pit

Everybody loves a good bonfire, so what better way to keep your guests warm than a romantic open fireplace. You may be really lucky if your wedding venue already has one, so be sure to ask if you can use it during the evening celebrations. If your wedding venue doesn’t (which will most likely be the case), ask if you could bring your own fire pit to make the cooler evenings more bearable. open fire pit at summer weddings stylemepretty.com - tecpetajaphoto.com Image Source - Photographer You could hire some sofas or armchairs and create a cosy lounge area – which is especially perfect for the elder members of the family to relax away from the party. If you’re planning a country barn wedding, hay bays are the perfect choice for your chill-out area. open fire pit at summer weddings itakeyou.co.uk - emilysteffen.com Image Source - Photographer

Toasting Marshmallows

If you do choose to have an open fire pit during your evening reception, marshmallows are a must-have! Treat your guests to marshmallows as wedding favours – it’ll give them a subtle clue about the evening reception. Alternatively, you could have a marshmallow bar area, where guests can create their own marshmallow masterpiece! Buy an assortment of different marshmallow colours and shapes for a fun touch. toasting marshmallows summer weddings brit.co - bysarahjayne.com Image Source - Photographer I also love the idea of warming hot chocolates and mini marshmallows in the evening. Keep it modern by serving in copper or silver mugs. Add a few flavoured syrups to the table and you’ve got your very own mini hot chocolate bar! A piping hot drink in the chilly evenings is always appreciated, and your guests will love the idea of it. toasting marshmallows at summer weddings whimsicalwonderlandweddings.com - andrewkeher.co.uk Image Source - Photographer

Cosy Blankets

Provide your guests with some cosy shawls and blankets. Dot around your wedding venue in baskets with some cute signage to match, so your guests know they can help themselves. Your guests will really appreciate the gesture, especially if you’re having an outdoor wedding reception. If your budget allows it, they could double up as luxury wedding favours. cosy blankets at summer weddings stylemepretty.com - gregfinck.com Image Source - Photographer

Warming Food

Hiring a food van that serves delicious warm food! A wood-fired pizza van or rustic burger van is a great way of keeping your guests both warm and fed late in the evening. keep warm at summer weddings lovemydress.net - naomijanephotography.com Image Source - Photographer

Rainy Summer Weddings

Even if you’re having a wedding in the middle of Summer, there is always a slight chance of rain! Wedding wellies and umbrellas are becoming increasingly popular at festival-inspired, country and outdoor wedding celebrations. Not only do they keep you dry, they create some wonderful wedding photograph opportunities. Choose wellies that match your colour scheme for the bridal party and avoid a wedding washout. keep warm at summer weddings rockmywedding.co.uk - michellelindsell.com - 1 Image Source - Photographer

Prepare Your Guests

The weather at Summer weddings can be unpredictable, so keep an eye on the forecast in the lead up to your big day. If it’s going to be chilly or raining prepare your guests in advance and suggest that they bring coats, jackets or umbrellas. If you’ve got a wedding website, be sure to update it with the weather forecast.

Pretty Chair Back Ideas For Summer Weddings

Today we are looking at pretty chair back ideas for Summer weddings. If you are getting married in the summer (or anytime of year) we love the idea of decorating chairs. These ideas are aimed at summer weddings but you could change the colours, flowers etc for a wedding in a different season. First of all which chairs are you going to decorate? This will depend on the overall look you want to achieve and of course your budget. It would be lovely to decorate every single chair with a garland of fresh flowers but to help with the budget it may be that you ask your florist to create wow factor chair garlands for the bride and groom's chairs and a foliage garland or single rose for the rest of the chairs. The bride and groom's chairs can be used for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. Maybe you are having an outdoor wedding ceremony and want to decorate all these chairs, adding ribbon in your wedding colours can look stunning, as can lace or hessian if this is more your style. For a more glamorous look sequin material or even material table runners could be draped over the backs of chairs. Signs can look fab too, especially "Mr" and "Mrs" or "Bride" and "Groom" hanging from the backs of chairs.
