Planning a country barn celebration? Then we love the idea of hanging jars full of pretty posies from a shepherd’s hook. Opt for flowers that look as if they could have been hand-picked from the garden. The wild rambling look will give your ceremony a beautiful feel. Place a shepherd’s hook at the end of each pew end or chair. You could even use hay bales as part of your ceremony seating.

Wooden tree slices and tree stumps can come in seriously useful throughout your wedding day. They’re a must-have addition to your decor if you’re dreaming of a rustic or woodland affair. Place a tree stump or tree slice at the end of each pew at your outdoor ceremony. You could place a lantern on each of them, or a jar full of your favourite flowers. We recommend keeping the same style throughout your venue decor by using them as part of your table centrepieces too.

For a chic and minimalist look, decorate your outdoor wedding ceremony with simple lanterns. Add a large pillar candle or a single tea-light, and they’ll glow as you walk down the aisle. You can also use lanterns as part of your table centrepieces or to decorate your card and gift table.

Large cider barrels are a wonderful option for couples who are planning a country style wedding day. You could place them at the entrance to your wedding ceremony and adorn them with foliage, vases or lanterns. This is a great choice if you’re having your ceremony on a farm or in the gorgeous countryside.

Personalised signs will give your wedding day a unique touch and they’re a wonderful way of decorating an outdoor ceremony. Place one at the entrance of your aisle – you could display information about where you’d like your guests to sit, or simply write your names and wedding date. Simple, stylish and very romantic.

Outdoor wedding ceremonies aren’t just made for a rustic or country wedding theme – they can be ultra-elegant too. Extravagant gold vases brimming with pillow-soft blooms and greenery will look truly beautiful placed along the aisle. You could even sprinkle a few petals along the aisle beforehand for an extra floral touch.

Are you getting married in the woodlands, surrounded by forest greenery and a canopy of trees? Then we adore the idea of making a couple of the trees stand out with floral decorations. You could decorate the trees that surround your aisle using the same style of blooms in your bouquet. It’ll look super pretty and completely unique.

7 Ways To Include Suitcases At Your Wedding

Are you planning a travel or wanderlust wedding day? Maybe you’re simply dreaming of a dainty vintage affair. Vintage suitcases work wonderfully for either theme and they’re a lovely addition to any celebration. From centrepieces to cakes, find out how you can use suitcases at your wedding.

Wedding Venue Décor

One of my favourite ways of using suitcases at your wedding is to incorporate them into your venue décor. Stack two or three suitcases on top of one another and add a pretty vintage vase full of daises or roses. You could even add old-fashioned photographs in antique frames on each suitcase to transport your guests to a bygone era. There are lots of different ways to style your suitcase décor – it’s completely down to your personal taste!

Suitcase Table Plan

Suitcases are extremely versatile, especially when it comes to using them to display your table plans. Tie them in with your suitcase venue décor by stacking them on top of each other – you can then display your table plan on top of them. This is a fab idea if you’ve already got a table plan framed. On the other hand, you could open the suitcase and hang twine from the edges, and peg each table plan along the string.

Suitcases At Your Wedding Ceremony

Suitcases at your wedding can be very useful. Fill open suitcases with confetti, wedding favours or even your order of service. Simply place an open suitcase outside your ceremony room with a sign saying ‘Please Take A Program’.

Delicious Cake Display

Where to start with your wedding cake? Why not go all out with a suitcase themed wedding cake? You could ask your cake maker to create a wanderlust wedding cake in the shape of a suitcase! Or you could simply display your wedding cake on or in suitcase – a fab alternative to the traditional cake stand.

Gifts And Cards

Suitcases are great ways of collecting your wedding cards and gifts. Hang card bunting across the suitcase so that you guests know where to deliver their cards – that way they don’t have to worry about losing them during the reception. A vintage card and gift table is a wonderful way of decorating your venue. All you need are a few vintage photographs and some weathered, antique books. It’ll fit in with your suitcase style beautifully.

Table Centrepieces

Why not use suitcases as part of your wedding table centrepieces? Opt for smaller suitcases, rather than large ones as they may take over your tables a little too much. Place a mini suitcase in the middle of your table and fill with flowers or your favourite photographs of you both as a couple. Your guests will adore flicking through them and it’s a definite talking point for everyone.

Love Notes

Time to get romantic! Suitcases can be used as a different option to a traditional guest book. Ask your guests to write a lovely note or some marriage advice on a vintage postcard, and ask them to place it in your suitcase. It’ll keep your notes safe and it means you can read them after your special day.

What Decorations Do I Need For A Barn Wedding Ceremony – Checklist

Have you booked your wedding ceremony in a barn? For a rustic or country style wedding we love the idea of getting married in a barn. Often barns come completely empty with no decorations so you can really make them your own. Here we have pulled together a checklist of decorations you might want to incorporate into your barn wedding ceremony. You don’t need all of them, just pick your favourites.

We love the idea of creating an entrance with white drapes or curtains, these could even have a floral garland draped down them for extra pretty details. Barns also often have beautiful wooden beams or are set up with pulley systems in the roof which means they can easily accommodate hanging flowers, large flower globes look fab hanging above the aisle. Line the aisle with decor of your choice, keep it rustic with tree slices, tree trunks and candles or add a carpet of petals for a more glam look. Below are a few more ideas, be sure to pin this to your wedding board if you are getting married in a barn.
