Aisle Decorations & Pew Ends ~ Ideas & Inspiration

Here at The Wedding of my Dreams we have been pinning our favourite ideas for aisle decorations and pew ends. There are lots of different ways you can decorate your aisle, one thing to keep in mind is that the ceremony will only be a short part of the day so use something to decorate the aisle or pews that can be moved around. Your pew ends can be used to decorate other areas of your venue after the ceremony has taken place.

Keep the aisles simple and line them with lanterns, birdcages or hurricane vases this will look lovely down the length of the aisle. Keeping the decoration at the lower level you could scatter fresh rose petals or feathers down the aisle. We love the idea of creating your own aisle runner, make it from hessian and draw out your timeline along the runner. Be sure the runner is firmly stuck down to the floor before anyone walks down it..

At the higher level you can attach decorations to the aisle chairs or pews, you can add fresh flowers tied in a simple bunch with twine or ribbon or place these flowers in a small jam jar which can be tied to the chair. Wreaths look lovely as pew ends, even something as simple as a foliage wreath – these are perfect for moving elsewhere after the ceremony. If you don’t like the idea of fresh flowers, dried lavender is a great option for pew ends, it has a lovely scent and these can be made up well before the wedding day and hung at the last minute.
