Forest Wedding Stationery

It’s important to make sure your wedding stationery fits in with your chosen theme – they’ll be the first insight into your day your guests will get, so you want it to be a fab first impression. Opt for woodland inspired wedding invitations to set the scene. Crisp white invitations with woodland motifs and floral details will look beautiful, as will brown rustic invitations wrapped with twine ribbon.

Forest Chair Covers

‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ chair signs are always a firm favourite for newlyweds, but you can easily incorporate your woodland theme into your wedding chairs! Simply add some natural greenery or foliage across the back of your chairs. Your chairs will stand out, while looking wonderfully organic. This looks particularly fab with wooden chairs in an outdoor setting.

Woodland Table Décor

You can get really creative with your woodland inspired wedding table. Hessian table runners are guaranteed to look fab, as will a dark green table cloth. But if you want to go all out, you could even use moss as part of your table décor! Tall golden candelabra will contrast the style, but actually works perfect with a rustic wedding table. The metallic shade will add a dash of glamour to your table-scape, while the candles will look lovely in the evening. If you don’t fancy traditional candle holders, you’ll love our rustic tree branch tea light holders. Perfect for a woodland table!

Romantic Signage

Wedding signs always look fab – whatever the theme or colour scheme! I love the thought of using a number of different wood signs throughout a woodland wedding, and they can act as a real focal point of your celebration. Signpost directions around your venue – wooden arrows will look amazing hung on a tree! This works wonderfully if you’re tying the knot in the great outdoors, or even if your reception is based in a marquee. Add a few romantic signs around your venue with your favourite quotes on. You can easily make it personal to your and your partner, and it can be a DIY idea too.

Wooden Tree Slices

Tree slices are obviously a must-have when it comes to a woodland inspired wedding. They are extremely versatile and always look beautiful. You can use them as part of your table centrepiece, or even as a rustic place mat for each guest. They’ll look the part and your guests will love them. Accessorise your place settings with white napkins, wrapped with a fern leaf and twine. This is a simple idea that looks ultra chic.

Five Fab Ideas – Cute Confetti Bags

I love throwing confetti at weddings and I think it’s one of the most exciting parts of the day. I also adore the ‘confetti shot’ and how it beautifully reflects the happiness of the newlyweds and guests. There are tons of fabulous ways of presenting your wedding confetti, so let’s take a look at some cute ideas for confetti bags!

Throw Me Confetti Bags

Our ‘Throw Me’ cotton confetti bags (pictured above) are a popular choice for brides and grooms, and they look particularly fab displayed in a basket. Keep at the front of the church or ceremony room so that your guests can each pick up a bag on their way out. You can order the bags empty, or already filled with colourful confetti – or lavender grain!

Rustic Hessian Bags

Planning a country wedding? Or maybe you’re having a rustic affair? If so, hessian bags will fit in with your theme perfectly. Display in a wooden crate by your wedding venue entrance for an organic feel. Hessian confetti bags are best suited to natural confetti, such as lavender or dried rose petals. Why not add a little wooden sign with ‘throw some love’ written in calligraphy – this way your guests know exactly where to find it!

Something Different

Looking for something completely original? Confetti bags don’t have to be small, you could simply have 4 or 5 large hessian bags or brown paper bags brimming with confetti, dried leaves or sprigs of lavender. I love the thought of filling bags with olive tree leaves – perfect for an Italian, Summer soiree.

Get Personal

Personalised confetti bags are always a wonderful option. Having your names, wedding date and a lovely message written on each bag makes for an extra special celebration. Take a look at these fun, personalised confetti bags made up of organza material.

Double Up

I’ve sometimes found at weddings that it’s not clear where the confetti is and you end up missing the part where you throw it! Avoid this issue by attaching your confetti bags to the order of service, or your wedding programs. Your guests will love this idea and it’s something they probably won’t have seen before!

It’s easy to match your choice of confetti to your wedding theme too. For instance, if you’ve got a particular colour scheme why not match your choice of confetti colour to it? If you’ve opted for a floral wedding theme, then pretty dried petals are a must-have! Planning a wedding on a budget? Why not use cut shapes out of coloured paper or old newspapers? It may be time-consuming but it is the perfect option for a DIY savvy bride and groom. whimsicalwonderlandweddings

Whether you’ve gone for organza or hessian, real petals or artificial petals, confetti is a beautiful part of any wedding day. The confetti shot is always natural, and you’re guaranteed to be beaming…

Reasons You Need A Roll Of Twine For Your Rustic Wedding

Here at The Wedding Of My Dreams we are certainly partial to a rustic wedding. There is something seriously special about a natural, homespun celebration. And we believe that no rustic wedding is complete without lots of twine details. A roll of twine is the perfect way to add a rustic touch to your wedding décor.

You can use twine from everything to your stationery to your centrepieces! It’s time to get creative and find out how you can use a roll of twine on your wedding day…

Wedding Bouquet And Buttonholes

Using a roll of twine in your wedding bouquet will really make your flowers stand out and it will be a unique alternative. Wrap the twine around the stems of your bouquet – you could even add a few other touches, such as a locket or a mini photo frame. Make sure your groom doesn’t miss out on all the fun! Twine can be used for buttonholes too – simply wrap a small strand of twine around the stem of his buttonhole for a fab finishing touch to his outfit.

Hanging Decorations

A roll of twine is strong enough to hold vases and bottles brimming with bright, beautiful blooms. If you’re having your wedding outside hang vases from the trees or by your venue entrance. You could even hang the twine along your ceremony aisle – it’ll look stunning!

Wedding Favours

Are you stuck for ideas when it comes to your wedding favours? There are plenty of ways to make your favours look fabulous. Wrap a roll of twine around homemade jars of jam or chutney for a wonderful countryside style. I love the thought of wrapping seed packets in brown rustic paper and tying with a twine bow. It’ll fit in with a rustic wedding flawlessly, and your guests will take away favours they’ll actually appreciate!

Jars and vases full of pretty floral arrangements make wonderful table centrepieces. You can up-cycle a plain glass jar by wrapping twine and lace ribbon around the brim. It’ll add something extra and will match the rest of your wedding décor perfectly.

Roll Of Twine Bunting

You can make your own bunting using a roll of twine. Personalise your wedding day by hanging polaroid photographs with wooden pegs on twine, and drape around your wedding venue. Consider including photographs of your guests – they’ll find it great fun spotting themselves on your memory wall. If you’re lucky enough to have a polaroid photo-booth, create a new string of twine for your guests to stick their photographs on during the big day. You’ll have your very own wedding bunting and it’ll be great entertainment.
