For your guest tables cluster a group of vintage glass bottles together, either run them along the table if you’re opting for long tables or make a group in the centre if you’re having round tables.

Use a variety of different sized and coloured glass bottles, or keep them all matching, it’s up to you.

DIY Vintage Escort Cards

If you’re looking for a unique way to display your escort cards or want something totally different to a traditional table plan then this might take your fancy. Cluster a number of bottles together on a table, fill with single stem flowers and tie a vintage brown paper luggage tag around the neck of the bottle with the guests name and table number written on it. Guests can collect their bottle and find out where they are sitting, the vases can double up as wedding favours as well.

Hanging Bottles Wedding Inspiration

Hanging Bottles Wedding Inspiration

If you’re using glass bottles as part of your wedding decorations on your tables have you thought about hanging them up? An easy DIY idea which can look stunning at your wedding.

If your wedding venue has a large tree in the grounds it would look stunning with hundreds of bottles hanging from the branches. A really simple thing to do, just tie some string or ribbon around the neck of the bottle and hang from the branches, you can even hang a few bottles from the same piece of string.  Fill the bottles with flower heads, they don’t have to have flowers in each one, just a random mix.

If you’re feeling crafty and have some time put aside for DIY wedding details there are some great ideas which incorporate hanging bottles. Create a curtain of hanging bottles along a flat wall at your wedding venue or whole side panel of your marquee. This would create a backdrop for photos or a backdrop for your top table. Choose bright flowers to show up against the walls, bright yellow tulips and craspedia work well.

Hanging decorations at your wedding ceremony can create a wonderful look. I love these glass bottles hanging from branches with yellow craspedia and Spring flowers. They don’t have to be outside decorations… hanging bottles look fab indoors too! Create garlands hanging from wooden beams.

We love these bottles simply hanging from the outdoor ceremony area. It may not be possible to guaruntee outdoor cereomnies in England but you can still decorate the gardens and walkways similar for your outdoor drinks receptions. Vintage Single Stem Bottles {Wedding Table Decorations}

Our vintage single stem bottles are one of our most popular wedding table decorations. And not surprisingly ~ bottles as wedding table decorations can look stunning. single stem bottles wedding table decorations

Bottles as wedding table decorations: Style Me Pretty

Group lots of bottles of different shapes and sizes together for wow factor wedding decor in key parts of your wedding venue. Each bottle only takes a single stem flower so your floral budget will stretch further. Groupings of 4 or more bottles with single stems can make lovely table decorations.

At The wedding of my dreams our favourite bottles are our vintage country bottles with hearts, for a French twist we also have French inspired perfume bottles. If you are interested in our glass bottles keep a look out on The Wedding of my Dreams website from mid February as we have some new glass bottles which are slightly larger in pastel colours. We’re so excited to show you our new range when it arrives! vintage bottles for wedding table decorations

Wooden Crates, Vintage Bottles and Jugs Galore ~ Wedding Shoot with Bijoux Bride

Earlier this year we were contacted by Louise from Bijoux Bride to help style a shoot she was working on. The theme of her shoot was a Secret Garden, so our country garden wedding decorations and rustic wedding decorations were ideal for this. We both went down to The Medicine Garden, Cobham on a lovely summers afternoon to meet Louise and help her set up for the wedding shoot. Read Bijoux Bride blog part one and part two to see the whole shoot. wedding table decorations jugs bottles for shoot

Getting our wedding decorations ready for the shoot. We took along a range of wedding decorations including silver jugs, silver buckets, cream jugs, vintage bottles, candy jars, tea light holders, LOVE blocks and a table plan.

Photographer Liesl Cheney captured the whole day wonderfully. ivory cotton bunting vintage glass bottles wedding decorations wooden crates wedding decorations

Our rustic wooden crates were used as a shelving backdrop, ivory bunting was draped from the old brick walls, country style loose flowers were displayed in our buckets, jugs and bottles. cream jug wedding centrepiece

Wooden crates have so many uses, they make great shelving, here they have been used as tables for jugs to sit on, you could add some pretty cream fabric or lace to the crates too. These cream jugs would make lovely table decorations for a country style wedding with some tea light holders to finish off the country garden wedding look.  wooden crates stacked up wedding decorations vintage glass bottles wedding decorations

I love the way the wooden crates can just be stacked up in a random pile to make shelves and surfaces at different heights. Use this at your outdoor rustic wedding to display extra floral displays, set up for a sweetie buffet, or as an area for guests to sign your guest book.

Vintage glass bottles look great with simple single stem flowers, here they have blue and white statice for a country look but you could also use rose heads. rustic DIY wedding table plan

If you have chosen a country or rustic theme for your wedding decor then you should decide on a table plan which incorporates this theme. We love this table plan with flower pots, fill each bucket with a cluster of flowers then add a luggage tag to each flower pot with your guests names on, one luggage tag per table.

Thanks so much to Bijoux Bride and Liesl Cheney for involving us in this wedding shoot. We loved the results so much we have used one of the images on our front cover of our new brochure. If you would like one of our brochures please get in touch. the wedding of my dreams mail order brochure
