How To Create A Rustic Wedding Dessert Table

A wedding cake table backdrop is guaranteed to look gorgeous and it’s an easy way of adding the wow factor to your wedding venue. A hessian or burlap backdrop will look wonderful behind your dessert table. However, you could also use some rustic brown paper as a backdrop. If you’re providing your guests with various yummy treats, we love the thought of writing the menu selection on the paper.

Wooden pallets would also make a unique backdrop your dessert or cake table, and they’re the perfect way to add a rustic touch to your decor. If you wanted to add a pop of colour, simply tie some ribbons or pretty balloons to the pallets. Blooms and foliage are also the perfect match for wooden backdrops.

Make a statement with a rustic wedding dessert table by using a combination of wooden crates and ladders. You can decorate the ladders with greenery, lanterns or vases full of flowers. If you are using wooden crates as part of your rustic wedding dessert table, we suggest using them as part of your centrepieces too. You could also use them to hold your confetti cones or wedding programs. This will keep your wedding decor looking coordinated.

Long Wedding Tables – Ideas & Inspiration

More and more wedding venues are offering the choice of round or long tables for your guests. Long wedding tables can be a nice alternative to the traditional round tables seen at weddings. If you are thinking of choosing long tables for your guests our most recent pinterest board might be useful.

We have been pinning our favourite ideas for long wedding guest tables. Long tables require different styles of centrepieces to round tables, think about placing lots of smaller vases and vessels down the centre of the tables, with tea light holders and candle sticks interspersed along the tables. Alternatively one long garland running down the centre of the tale on onto the floor can look fab. A table runner is a great idea for long tables too as it brings colour to the table.

Milk Churn Table Centres ~ Wedding Decoration Of The Week

Welcome to our new year blog schedule, every Monday on our blog we will talk about our chosen wedding decoration of the week. It’s your chance to ask questions about a specific product and us to showcase some of our favourites.

Milk Churn Table Centres

milk churn rustic wedding table centre

Personally I absolutely love the idea of relaxed rustic / country style weddings, perhaps on a tumbled down farm, in a barn or teepee. Bails of hay in the corner covered in blankets to create a seating area and perhaps a bonfire outside as the evening draws in.

These silver milk churns would look great as wedding table centres, for rustic styling place the milk churns in the centre of round tables or line up along the centre of long guest tables, place on hessian table runners or slate tiles. Ask your florist to suggest natural country style flowers in keeping with your chosen theme and venue, or have a go at the flowers yourself.

Product details:

  • Milk churn table centres are galvanised silver with a wooden handle.
  • The churns measure 21cm in height and have 13cm diameter.
  • Although the churns are made to hold water we always suggest putting your flowers in a smaller jam jar inside the milk churn to avoid and leakage onto the wedding tables.
  • Price: £10 each
